Philip
R. Bronner, M.D. is a sixty-eight year old child psychiatrist
who has just finished
his first forty years in practice. He specialized in
child psychiatry at the University of Southern
California. He drew his inspiration from his great-uncle
William Healy M.D., the founder of the Child Guidance
System. Dr. Bronner worked in private practice treating
children, adolescents, adults and families, at the
California Youth Authority, at Mule Creek State Prison,
and as a consultant for the Kern Regional Center. He
also was and is a consultant for the Los Angeles and
Kern Counties Juvenile Court. He currently maintains an
active full-time practice for children and adults.
He utilizes in-depth individual, group and family therapy,
along with medication and intervention services as
needed. Dr. Bronner has two children and lives in Bakersfield
California.
Dr. Bronner
wrote THE HANDBOOK between 2004-07 to
preserve the valuable clinical information he uses and to
pass this information along to the next generation of
therapists.
